A number of days on Montana’s Bighorn River gives Chris Hunt of Hatch Journal with some killer trout, in addition to views on all the pieces from killing large fish to coping with different anglers on the river. The variety of trout within the river and the opportunity of touchdown a real trophy are the principle causes people flock to Forth Smith:
The Bighorn River — or no less than the Bighorn River the place it’s earned its stripes as a real trophy trout river because it flows out of the underside of Yellowtail Dam in southern Montana — is famous. Boasting prolific bug life, not not like its tailwater cousin, the Missouri under Holter Dam, it’s dwelling to some 6,000 wild trout per mile. This, alone, makes it a vacation spot amongst locations. The “drift boat hatch” begins someday across the first week of Might and lasts all summer season lengthy. It’s the quilt cost anglers pay to take heed to the Bighorn River Band, and, frankly, it’s value it.
