You’ve most likely been listening to lots about threats to public lands in latest weeks, as Congress has been debating whether or not or to not unload federally owned land to the states. Nicely, Kirk Deeter of Angling Trade has some fairly sturdy opinions about this concept:
[W]hat units the American angler aside from nearly another on the planet is that we now have thousands and thousands of acres and 1000’s of miles of fishable streams (and lakes) which might be obtainable to us as a birthright. I’ve fished all around the globe and have loved each minute of doing so. However what makes my soul crammed with pleasure is the belief that, as an American, I share possession, and have entry to extra locations than anybody individual may endeavor to fish in a lifetime.
